The Mac App Store in OS X Yosemite 10.10 is not only a source of plethora of applications but also is a source of software updates for your Mac. Couple of days ago I faced a weird issue on my MacBook conveying 'Cannot Connect To App Store' with Greyed out screen. While searching online I came across number of solutions from deleting the PRAM to clearing the certificates, but nothing worked for me (at least for me). How To Fix Cannot Connect To App Store On MacBook
Mac App Store is the simplest way to find and download apps for your Mac. To download apps from the Mac App Store, you need a Mac with OS X 10.6.6 or later. Step 1: Head over to the Apple Logo and select System Preferences.Step 2: Select the Network tab in the 3rd row of System Preferences screen.
Step 3: Check if there's Green signal on your connected network, if yes head over to Advanced tab. If there's red signal, check your Internet connection.
Step 4: Head over to DNS tab.
Step 5: Now, we have to add Apple's Global DNS address. Hit the ‘+' sign and add the mentioned DNS addresses.
Step 6: Restart your Mac and you are done.
